What's up peoples? I made a new column I can post on Mondays, letting you know what I've been working on and reviewing.
First thing's first; I recently finished rough drafts of reviews for Dishonored and Sleeping Dogs, the former being a Summer release. (Or Winter, in America.)
Dishonored and Sleeping Dogs have a lot of issues, with the latter having a TON of stuff in the review. I'll post Sleeping Dogs sometime so that you can see for yourself. But Dishonored is a bigger priority because it's a Summer release, and a game made by decorated game designers like Harvey Smith. (Deus Ex, Thief.)
Otherwise, I'm busy with Medal of Honor Warfighter---ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
...Sorry, fell asleep. Yeah, Warfighter is a really boring game and a very mediocre shooter from the looks of it. It hasn't been getting very positive reviews either, so that's another stab in the back.
Regardless, I'll finish the review and post it sometime.
Borderlands 2 is another Summer release that the guy doing the playthroughs I watch for my reviews has not even finished yet. I'll start with this one as soon as possible, maybe during the week.
Resident Evil 6......Is going to take a while. I have to review all FOUR campaigns, which are less cluttered if you review them seperately, although they all will go up on the same day.
...Which is why it's going to take so long. The aforementioned guy who makes the playthroughs is taking a while to get through the FIRST campaign. However, I intend to have a review of it up before the end of the year.
Other games on my radar are Halo 4, Assassin's Creed 3, Hitman Absolution, and of course, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
Halo 4 I'm going to have to review, as it is a major release. The reason why I'm reluctant is because I tried to watch a playthrough of Halo Reach, and it was dreadfully boring.
I'm not saying the game is bad, I'm just saying that some games are meant to ONLY to be played, not watched.
Assassin's Creed 3 is on my radar big time. The game comes out on consoles on October 30th, but I'm holding off until it comes out on PC late in November, so that I can give it the full review treatment.
Sorry console gamers. If I don't get the game by then, well, I guess I'll have to watch a playthrough and do an Areas of Concern instead.
Hitman Absolution is a definite MAYBE. The Hitman series has been oppressively dark and features a lot of sexual perversion, so I don't want to get a load of bad stuff in my life because I reviewed Hitman Absolution.
That's not to say I'm NOT going to review it, but I don't think it's completely necessary either, as the title speaks for itself.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is a must review for me because, let's face it, it's the biggest game launch of the year. I'll probably get it on release day so that I can give it the full treatment, for single-player at least.
As for other games, I don't want to give it away, but I'm going to be reviewing a much older, but very notorious video game in the near future. I'm not going to spoil what the game is, so let's just leave it at that. ;)
So that's all I have for now! In the meantime, subscribe to my blog above so that you can get the reviews in your E-mail when I post them. Like them, Facebook, Twitter them, and all that fun stuff.
Oh, and don't forget to leave comments. I love comments. :P
